Tourette Syndrome

Well a lot has happened since my last post. It's hard to believe that the assemlby is come and gone. I am no longer a VLB. I'm getting old. Two days after the assembly I was sitting down doing homework with Joseph and he started jerking his head really bad. Well 2 weeks later we learned it was Tourette's Syndrome. This has been a really emotional roller coaster for us. But things are much better now, I'm feeling such peace with the decision to not use the meds that were prescribed for him. He is expecting a healing. And until God does heal him, I have been sharing with him how he can use this as a way to share God with others. He can make a diffrence. He is taking it so good. Children at school have been asking him about why his head jerks, but he isn't letting it bother him. It is causing me to try and be more patient with my children. Please pray for us as we continue to work through getting used to living with this. It is so hard at times not to say Joseph quit doing that when he's having his tics. I will try to blog more often, but right now I'm ready for bed.
